Dog Training Schools – Teach a Young Or Old Dog New Tricks
Most pet owners are happy if they can teach their dog to sit and stay, but dogs can be trained to perform a vast number of tasks, and there are many types of dog training schools. Hunting dogs are often sent away to a boarding school, where they go through intense daily workouts. This can take several months and does not frequently involve the dog owner. The instruction takes place at the trainer’s location and there are usually a number of animals being trained simultaneously. Most family pets are not enrolled in this type of training, although the old-school train of thought about hunting dogs not being treated as pets is changing.
Dogs that are being trained to be assistance animals, such as guide dogs for the blind or aide dogs for the disabled, also attend dog training schools. This does not usually start in a facility. The animal is placed in a foster home where a trained individual works with the dog daily to develop the skills and traits needed in an assistive animal. The dogs usually go to these homes as pups and are kept by the trainer until the dog has reached adulthood, usually at about 2 years of age. They go everywhere with their trainers once they have the basics down, including riding public transportation and visiting restaurants, malls, and grocery stores, anywhere there future owners might want to go. When they have mastered this, they go to a more formal school before being placed with their new owners.

A Vegan Fashion Revolution – Clothing Without Cruelty
As a result of the worldwide revolution for the protection of the rights of the animals and the environment, manufacturers, designers and producers of bags have created an alternative material they can use. They are now producing vegan handbags. This type of bag is an animal-friendly bag. This means, the fabrics used do not come from animals. Some of these bags are also PETA approved. So buyers of this kind of handbags are regarded as as advocates of animal protection. Buying an animal-friendly handbag like vegan is not a bad option.
The use of vegan handbags became popular over the past several years. More consumers are switching to use this kind of hand bag. Due to popularity, producers and designers of vegan handbags are more motivated to create fashionable handbags for people. There exists a possibility that vegan bags may outnumbered the manufacturing of non-vegans in a few years time. Creating more vegan bags provides great encouragement to people who are still purchasing bags from animal skin. It is time to be conscious of the rights of animals and the environment.

Media and The First Amendment – Crush Videos Banned On The Internet
Finally, an example of where the U.S. Congress can work together to make something go right. It’s an important topic even though compared to the overwhelming pile of issues that currently need responses, perhaps not the top priority. It’s all a matter of perspective.
It seems that something has to be utterly repugnant to get the parties to reach across the aisle. This is illustrated by the recent, successful Congressional ban on crush videos. Crush refers to videos that graphically depict animals being tortured and killed. Women pummeling small animals in stilettos. Cats being tossed like a football. Impaling. Appalling. Perverse.
Political pundits argued that such behavior had been banned by a 1999 enactment. The Supreme Court ruled that the law was so broadly drafted that it violated First Amendment free speech rights.
Several Congressmen took up the fight and got to work, aided by the ACLU. The hearing process which began the legislative process heard from a diverse group of constituents, beyond animal rights activists.
