Answering Your Animal Cruelty Questions
Being a pet owner is a wonderful opportunity to find unrequited love. There is just something about owning a pet that can bring out the best, or worst, in people. An animal is a huge responsibility and it is up to the pet owner to ensure that their animal is receiving quality medical care, food, water and attention. When these situations are not being met then animal cruelty is the result.
It is a sad state of affairs when animals are not receiving the help and care that they so desperately need. There are many animals that need love and attention that are simply not receiving it.
It is our job as the owners to see to it that animals are not abused and left neglected or roaming around on the streets as stray animals. This article will cover the basics of animal cruelty and hopefully by the end you will be doing your part to stop this travesty.

The World of Animals and Their People
In the world of animals, it’s not just the endangered animals but every living creature that’s worthy of our caretaking. It’s hard for me to be so all inclusive, because visions of giant cockroaches are creeping into my mind’s eye, but the truth is that every living thing has a place.
I’m not one to believe that animals have the exact same rights as people, (otherwise we’d have to put aside obedience training funds in equal amounts to little Johnny’s college fund) but they certainly do have the right not to be treated cruelly without purpose or meaning.
And to protect species in danger of disappearing forever, we could take the following steps:
o Education about the endangered animal, especially in schools near their habitat
o Breeding programs where children could learn about animal health and care
o Eco-tourism that would support both of the above
I’m not a fool; I realize these programs take money and time. But to me, the biggest problem is a rampant lack of ethics among world leaders who could be supporting their people and their animals but choose not to. This may due to greed or stupidity, but whatever the cause, I believe there is a solution.
And that would be?
In one simple word, Communication.
It’s so easy for people to think of themselves as separate from others, either animals or people. When you’re far away from trouble, and have nothing much to do with it on a personal level, it’s easier to pretend it doesn’t exist.

Animal Abuse – Help Stop it While You Shop!
It seems these days you can’t read a headline or talk to someone without hearing news about animal rights groups trying to change the laws. Their main goal and purpose in life to get all animals throughout the whole world 100% protected. That means no eating any kind of meat, hunting, fishing, trapping and even milking cows for milk.
As of yesterday November 1st, 2010 trapping has been banned in New Mexico. This ban was of course fronted and pushed by animal rights groups as such is the case with any new law that protects animals. Behind every new animal protection law you can bet there’s an animal rights group that thought it up and is pushing it to get passed.
Animal rights groups are reasoning that this new trapping ban has been established to protect the Mexican Gray Wolf which is now protected in AZ and NM.
Having done research on this particular issue I’ve come to the conclusion that this ban and like all animal rights groups motive’s is an attempt to get them one step closer to their target goal which is to shut down all forms of hunting, trapping and fishing.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and that’s what makes this country the best country in the world. However when animal rights groups spend millions of dollars and thousands of man hours towards getting our hunting and fishing rights taken away it’s time to stand up and fight. Hunting, trapping and fishing are sports that we all love and something that none of us could even imagine being without.
